1. Who We Are
carecompare360.com (the "Website") is operated by Proads Solutions LTD, a company registered in the United Kingdom ("we", "us" or "our"). For the purposes of U.S. state privacy laws, we are the "business" or "controller" responsible for the limited information described in this Privacy Policy.
- Registered address: Unit B, First Floor, Broad Oak Farm Business Park, Redbrook Maelor, Whitchurch, United Kingdom, SY13 3AQ
- Privacy contact: privacy@carecompare360.com
2. Scope and What This Website Does
This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected through carecompare360.com, including what we collect automatically, how we use it, who receives it and the choices you have.
The Website publishes editorial articles, comparisons, reviews and reference material about general health, men's health and related topics, and about third-party telehealth providers and pharmacies. When you click a link to a third party, you leave the Website and arrive on that third party's own website, where any further interaction is governed by that party's terms and privacy policy.
We are not a healthcare provider. We do not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. We do not sell, prescribe, dispense, compound or ship prescription medication. Any prescription is issued only by a licensed provider you engage directly through a third party. Using the Website does not create a physician-patient relationship. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting, stopping or changing any treatment.
3. Information We Collect
We collect only information that is generated automatically by your browser and device when you visit the Website. We do not collect anything you type, because the Website has no input fields.
3.1 Automatically Collected Technical Information
| Category | Examples | Why We Collect It |
|---|---|---|
| Network identifiers | IP address; approximate location derived from IP address (country, state and city level) | Security, fraud prevention, regional content and aggregate analytics |
| Device and browser information | Device type, operating system, browser type and version, screen size, language setting | Rendering the Website correctly, compatibility and analytics |
| Usage information | Pages viewed, time on page, scroll depth, referring URL, exit links | Understanding which content is useful and improving our editorial content |
| Click and campaign identifiers | Click IDs, sub-IDs, campaign parameters (such as the Google Click Identifier), unique visit identifiers generated by our tracker | Attributing traffic to campaigns and partner referrals; measuring advertising performance |
| Cookie and similar identifiers | Cookie IDs, pixel identifiers | Analytics and advertising measurement (see Section 8) |
Under California and other U.S. state privacy laws, IP addresses, cookie IDs and unique device or click identifiers are considered "personal information" even when they are not linked to a name. We say so plainly rather than claiming that we collect no personal data.
3.2 Our Own Click Tracking
We operate a self-hosted click tracking system (Binom) on servers located in the United States. It records the technical information described in Section 3.1 and assigns each visit a random identifier (a "click ID"). The click ID cannot be derived from, or reversed into, your name, email address or any other directly identifying detail. We use it to measure the performance of our advertising and to confirm which referrals generate compensation.
4. Information We Do Not Collect
To be explicit, we do not:
- operate any registration form, contact form, quiz, questionnaire, symptom checker, calculator or newsletter sign-up;
- ask for or receive your name, email address, postal address or phone number;
- ask for or receive your health measurements, medical history, diagnoses, medications, prescriptions or treatment goals;
- offer user accounts or profiles;
- receive information from partners about your consultations, prescriptions or purchases, other than the fact that a referral carrying a given click ID resulted in a qualifying event; or
- send marketing emails, text messages or push notifications.
If you choose to email us at one of the addresses listed in this policy, we will have your email address and the content of your message. We use them only to reply to you, and we do not add you to any list.
5. How We Use Information
We use the information described in Section 3 only to:
- operate, maintain and secure the Website;
- measure which pages and articles are read, so that we can improve our editorial content;
- measure the performance of our advertising campaigns and calculate the compensation partners owe us;
- detect and prevent fraud, bot traffic, click fraud and abuse; and
- comply with the law and respond to lawful requests.
We do not use this information to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you, and we do not use it for profiling for that purpose.
6. How We Disclose Information
6.1 Advertising and Analytics Providers
| Provider | Service | Their Privacy Policy |
|---|---|---|
| Google LLC | Google Analytics 4: aggregate website analytics | policies.google.com/privacy |
| Google LLC | Google Ads conversion tracking: measuring advertising performance | policies.google.com/privacy |
These are the only third-party advertising and analytics technologies currently used on the Website. We will disclose any additions in this Privacy Policy and in our Cookie Policy before we deploy them.
6.2 Referral Partners
The destination URLs of links to our partners may carry a click ID or sub-ID that we generate, so that the partner can report that a referral came from the Website. We send partners no other information. In particular, we do not send them your IP address, your browsing history on the Website or any health information, because we hold no health information about you.
6.3 Service Providers
Hosting, content delivery and security providers process technical information on our behalf under contract. They are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
6.4 Legal and Corporate Disclosures
We may disclose information when required to do so by law, subpoena or court order; to protect our legal rights or the safety of others; or in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case the recipient must follow this Privacy Policy or give notice of any changes.
6.5 "Sale" and "Sharing" Under California Law
We aim to be accurate here rather than reassuring. The California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA, defines a "sale" broadly as a disclosure of personal information for monetary or other valuable consideration, and "sharing" to include disclosure for cross-context behavioral advertising. Because we provide online identifiers and click information to advertising partners for measurement, and because we receive compensation for referrals, some of our disclosures may be considered a "sale" or "share" under California and similar state laws.
We provide a clear way to opt out. See Section 9 and our Your Privacy Choices (Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information) page. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.
7. What Happens When You Click Through to a Partner
This is the most important point about how the Website works. When you reach a third-party telehealth provider, pharmacy or other partner, you have left the Website and this Privacy Policy no longer applies. From that point:
- any information you provide, such as your name, contact details, medical history, insurance or payment details, is collected by that third party;
- that third party's privacy policy, terms and consent mechanisms govern that information;
- we have no access to, control over or visibility into what you enter on the partner's website; and
- we are not responsible for the partner's privacy practices, security, clinical decisions, pricing, products or services.
We encourage you to read a partner's privacy policy and terms before you give it any information.
8. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies on the Website. A cookie is a small text file that your browser stores on your device.
| Category | What It Does | Can You Opt Out? |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly Necessary | Enables core functionality, security and the recording of your privacy choices | No. The Website cannot function without these. |
| Analytics | Google Analytics 4: aggregate measurement of how the Website is used | Yes |
| Advertising / Measurement | Google Ads conversion tracking: measuring campaign performance | Yes |
| Referral Tracking | Self-hosted Binom tracker: attributing visits and referrals to campaigns | Yes |
You can change your preferences at any time using the cookie preference control on the Website or your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect parts of the Website. Our Cookie Policy lists every cookie we use, with names and durations.
9. Your U.S. State Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights. We honor them for all U.S. residents, so you do not need to check whether your state has a privacy law.
| Right | What It Means |
|---|---|
| Right to Know / Access | Request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected, the sources, the purposes and the categories of recipients |
| Right to Delete | Request deletion of the personal information we hold, subject to legal exceptions |
| Right to Correct | Request correction of inaccurate personal information |
| Right to Opt Out of Sale or Sharing | Direct us to stop selling or sharing your personal information, including for targeted advertising |
| Right to Limit Sensitive Personal Information | Limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not collect any (see Section 11). |
| Right to Non-Discrimination | We will not deny you access, charge you a different price or provide a different level of service for exercising a privacy right |
| Right to Appeal | In states that provide it, appeal our decision on your request. Instructions are included in our response. |
9.1 How to Exercise Your Rights
- To opt out of sale or sharing: use our Your Privacy Choices page or send a Global Privacy Control signal (see Section 10).
- For all other requests: email privacy@carecompare360.com with the subject line "Privacy Request".
A practical limitation: because we do not collect names, email addresses or account identifiers, we usually cannot link a request to a specific person's records, which are keyed to click IDs and cookie IDs. To act on a specific record, we need you to provide a relevant identifier, such as a cookie ID. Otherwise, we recommend opting out as described in Section 10 and clearing your browser cookies. We will not ask you for additional personal information just to verify your identity.
9.2 Response Times
We will acknowledge your request within 10 business days and respond substantively within 45 calendar days. Where permitted by law, we may extend this period by a further 45 days, and we will tell you if we do.
9.3 Authorized Agents
You may submit a request through an authorized agent. We may require written proof of the agent's authority.
10. Opt-Out Preference Signals (Global Privacy Control)
The Website recognizes and honors the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser or a browser extension sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a valid request to opt out of the sale and sharing of personal information associated with that browser, with no further action needed from you. Because the signal is tied to a browser and device, you need to enable it separately on each browser and device you use. You can learn more about GPC at globalprivacycontrol.org.
11. Health-Related Information
The Website discusses health conditions, treatments and prescription medications. Washington's My Health My Data Act and Nevada's SB 370 define "consumer health data" broadly, and the definition may include inferences drawn from online behavior. We take a clear position on this, and the Website is designed to support it:
- No health questions. There is no quiz, questionnaire, symptom checker, calculator or intake form.
- We do not collect, store or infer your health measurements, diagnoses, medications, prescriptions, treatment history or health goals.
- We do not send any health-related information to Google Analytics, Google Ads or any advertising partner, and we do not include health terms in the data we send to them.
- We do not use bidstream health data, and we do not build or buy audience segments based on health conditions.
- We do not geofence any healthcare facility, pharmacy or provider location.
- We do not sell consumer health data, because we do not collect any.
Page-view information is collected per browser and used in aggregate for editorial purposes. It is not used to infer your health status or to target advertising based on health.
If you are a Washington or Nevada resident and want to make a request about consumer health data, email privacy@carecompare360.com with the subject line "Health Data Request".
12. Data Retention
| Category | Retention Period | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Server and security logs | 90 days | Security and abuse investigation |
| Click tracking records (Binom) | 24 months | Advertising attribution, partner reconciliation and fraud review |
| Google Analytics data | 14 months | Platform retention setting |
| Cookie identifiers | As stated in the Cookie Policy, generally up to 24 months | Consent duration and platform defaults |
| Records of privacy requests and opt-outs | 24 months | Demonstrating compliance |
| Correspondence you send us | 24 months | Handling and auditing your enquiry |
At the end of the applicable period, records are deleted or irreversibly aggregated.
13. Data Security
We apply technical and organizational measures appropriate to the limited, non-sensitive information we hold. These include encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS) across the whole Website, access controls and authentication on our tracking infrastructure, and regular patching and review of our servers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
14. Children's Privacy
The Website is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16. There is no age-verification form, because we do not collect information from anyone. If you believe a child's information has been collected, contact privacy@carecompare360.com and we will delete it.
15. Geographic Scope
The Website is directed to residents of the United States. Our servers and service providers are located in the U.S., and information is processed there. We do not target, market to or offer services to people in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom. If you access the Website from outside the U.S., you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for complying with local law. If you are in the EEA or UK and wish to make a request, contact privacy@carecompare360.com and we will handle it in line with applicable law.
16. Advertising and Affiliate Compensation Disclosure
The Website is an advertising-supported comparison and information website. We receive compensation from some of the companies that appear on it, typically when a visitor clicks through or completes a qualifying action. This compensation may affect which offers appear and where they are positioned, including their order. Listings are not endorsements or recommendations, and they do not represent all options available on the market. Ratings and comparisons reflect our editorial methodology. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any prescription medication manufacturer. All trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used for identification only.
17. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or in applicable law. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the "Last Updated" date. Where a change materially affects your rights, we will display a prominent notice on the Website. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
